Best time to surf in Morocco

You can surf around Taghazout and Tamraght all year. What changes is the size and the regularity of the waves, so the best time depends on your level.

Autumn to spring: the main surf season

From autumn to spring the Atlantic swell is bigger and more regular. This is the classic season for surfers who already know the basics, and the time most surfers visit the bay.

Summer: smaller, friendly waves

In summer the waves are usually smaller and gentler, which is ideal for complete beginners learning in the white water.

What if there are no waves?

If the sea is flat or the waves are too big, we replace the session with a free trip to Paradise Valley or a visit to Souk El Had in Agadir.

What to pack

Swimwear, sun cream, sunglasses, flip-flops and a warm top for the evenings. Surfboard and wetsuit are included in the surf week; bed linen and towels are provided.
