Why stay in Tamraght, next to Taghazout
Taghazout is the best-known surf village in Morocco, and it is busy. Tamraght sits a few minutes south on the same coastline, between Agadir and Taghazout. It is a calmer village, with beaches close by and easy access to all the spots of the bay.
Because we drive you to the waves every day, where you sleep does not limit where you surf. Your instructor chooses the best spot of the day for your level, whether it is in Tamraght, in Aourir or in Taghazout. Read more in Tamraght or Taghazout: where to stay.
What is included in a surf week
- 7 nights in a room with its own private bathroom

Who it is for
Our lessons are for beginners to intermediate surfers. If you have never surfed, you start on the beach with safety, paddling and standing up, then catch your first waves in the white water. If you can already stand up, you work on paddling out, reading the waves and riding green waves. See our guide for beginners.
Solo travellers, couples, friends and groups are all welcome. A partner who does not surf can stay with you, with all meals, for €120 less per week.
Where we surf
Every morning our instructors check the swell, the wind and the tide, then pick the spot. We use Banana Beach in Aourir, Imourane, Taghazout and the beaches around Tamraght. Each spot is described in Surf spots near Tamraght.
If the sea is flat or the waves are too big for your level, the session is replaced by a free trip to Paradise Valley or a visit to Souk El Had in Agadir.
A typical day
- 08:30 – breakfast at the house
- 10:00 – 2-hour surf lesson with your instructor
- 13:00 – lunch at the beach, then free surf
- 17:00 – sunset on the rooftop, dinner and a movie night
Times change with the tide and the swell, so your instructor confirms the plan each morning.
The house
HoneyPath Ocean Retreat has only 11 rooms, each with its own private bathroom: a shared room with three beds, private rooms for one, twin or double rooms, and sea-view rooms of 25 m² with a private terrace. After the waves you relax on the ocean-view rooftop with sun loungers, in the Moroccan lounge or in the private cinema room.
Getting here
Most guests fly into Agadir Al Massira airport (AGA), about 35 km from the house. We pick you up for free. From Marrakech or Essaouira we can arrange a transfer for an extra cost. More in Agadir airport to Tamraght.
How to book
Send us your dates on WhatsApp or with the form on our homepage. We confirm availability and your final price, then you pay a 20% deposit by bank transfer. The balance is paid in cash on arrival, in euros or dirhams. Cancellation is free up to 14 days before arrival.
The minimum stay is 4 nights and you can arrive any day. Groups of 8 or more get 10% off, and the whole house can be booked for up to 25 guests.
