What to do on a rest day near Tamraght
Your arms will thank you for a day off the board. Here are easy ideas for a rest day around Tamraght, Taghazout and Agadir – or no plan at all.
Paradise Valley
A palm-filled gorge with natural rock pools in the hills above the coast, about an hour inland. It is the classic day out from the bay, especially on a hot day. It is also where we take you for free if the sea is flat or too big for your session.
Souk El Had in Agadir
One of the biggest markets in Morocco: spices, fruit, argan oil, leather, pottery and much more. Go in the morning, take your time and agree on prices before you buy.
Agadir Oufella viewpoint
The hill above Agadir with the old kasbah walls and a wide view over the bay, the port and the city. Beautiful at sunset.
Agadir seafront and marina
A long promenade along the beach, cafés and the marina – an easy walk for an afternoon in the city.
Taghazout village
A few minutes from Tamraght: walk the main street, watch the surfers on the points, have a coffee or a fresh juice with an ocean view. Read Tamraght or Taghazout to compare the two villages.
Or simply stay at the house
Sun loungers on the ocean-view rooftop, a mint tea in the Moroccan lounge, a film in the private cinema room. Sometimes the best rest day is the one with no plan.
